GROCERY STORE

We have two excellent options for Grocery Stores close by. Nesters is ½ block away at 122 Bear Street and is a local favourite offering a selection of unique foods and IGA is 2 ½ blocks away located at 318 Marten Street (across from the High School).


HEAT CONTROL

Heat is controlled from the thermostat in the room. It is baseboard heating; it does take time for it to heat up (5-10 minutes). If after an hour the baseboard is still cold contact front desk.


ICE AND POP MACHINES

For your convenience, ice and pop machines are located on each floor near the 2nd and 3rd floor elevators. Water can be bought at any of the vending machines. 


INFORMATION CENTRE

For further area or park information the Banff Info Centre is located at 224 Banff Avenue – 1 block from the hotel 403 762-1550


LIQUOR STORE

Townhouse Liquor is located one block from the hotel at the corner of Bear & Wolf Street – 226 Bear St. Also for select wines the Banff Wine Store – acknowledged as one of Canada’s Top Wine stores by Taste Magazine is at 302 Caribou Street (across Banff Ave) – lower level.

LOCAL TRANSIT

You don't need a car to get around in Banff. Our Roam public transit bus system offers one of the best and most convenient deals in town. And our buses are friendly to the environment, as we have Canada's first all-hybrid bio-diesel/electric bus fleet. Contact the Front Desk for a bus schedule and locations.


LONG DISTANCE CALLS

A surcharge will be added to any long distance calls made from your room, rates will vary depending on where call is made to. For International calls, dial 011 + country code + number. Again, rates vary depending on where the call is made to (in addition to other factors).

MESSAGES AND MAIL

If the red message light is flashing on your phone, please dial “6” to receive your messages. If there is no message please contact the Front Desk for a manual message. You may drop off any pre-stamped outgoing mail at the front desk. Stamps are available at the Front Desk.


NEWSPAPERS

Circle K convenience store has a variety of newspapers available. They are open 24 hours a day, and are situated at the end of Bear St., one block from the Brewster Mountain Lodge.


PARKING

Heated underground parking is available to all registered guests for $18.00 + GST per night, at a “first come first serve” basis. The height restriction is 6 feet 4 inches in the garage. Free parking is available a ½ block from the hotel. Please contact the Front Desk for directions.

The Hotel is patrolled regularly and staff can always be identified by their name tags. We recommend that you make full use of the viewer in the door and double lock your door before retiring. Please ensure that valuable items are locked in the trunk of your car or placed in the safe in your room.

WAKE-UP CALLS

There are two ways to arrange for wake up calls.

Alarm Clock:

Press circular button until you see the numbers flash.

Turn the button until you have reached the desired time.

Press again to ok the time.

If you press it, one more time it will turn the alarm off.


Otherwise for or your convenience, you may call the front desk (dial 0) for a wake-up call via your in-room phone.


WEATHER AND SNOW REPORTS
